This versatile shooting location in the lush green mountains of Koishiwara offers river locations, countless mountain passages, tiered camp sites with ancient stone wall ledges and fortifications, and permitted outdoor fire zones. Ponta also has a lodge facility that can accommodate large-scale productions with an industrial kitchen on site to facilitate hot-meal requirements. Plenty of room for a comms center, wardrobe, Hair/Make-up, executive office, background holding, cafeteria and more! Ponta features 10 flat wilderness camp sites, and 9 well-appointed bungalows throughout the location that connect different mountain site options. Making it easy for cast & crew to shoot in all 4 amazing seasons. The lush green moss-covered forest areas are unique to this part of Japan and reflect the aesthetic that directors look for when shooting here.

The parking area is easy to access and can accommodate 20 cars. 4-ton trucks and trailers can also park within walking distance and generator trucks can be located close to each main set location. There is 100v power throughout the campsite area. The quiet locations are not on any major flight path and just far enough from the main road, so sound holds are minimal.

There are 11 tiered campsites with old stone wall foundations that offer lots of options for shooting different scenes. Mountain passages are abundant and accessible from this location for scenes depicting old-world travel, etc...
A Large Lodge!
Basecamp is contained within a large modern lodge with an industrial kitchen and several rooms to accomodate all departments of production.

There are several different size passages through the surrounding mountains. There is also a mountain river as well.
